Master of Social Work: Saint Louis University

Eileen Halterman: It is never too late. I started at Jefferson College at age 49. After being out of school (HS graduate 1959) for 31 years I took 3 years to get my Associates Degree from Jefferson College in the Honors Program. I went onto Maryville University where 2 years later I earned my BA in a dual major Psychology/Sociology. Following graduation from Maryville, that fall semester I started working on my master`s degree at St. Louis, University. Two and a half years later I graduated with my Master`s in Social Work. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and worked for 7 years with an agency in the mental health field with all ages of clients and vast different areas of mental health issues. Following my work there I worked at Potosi Correction Center as a qualified mental health professional and acting chief of mental health serving the correctional center population. I have 2 sons that are Licensed Pharmacist along with their wives. My greatest job and form of entertainment is spending as much time as I can with my grandson and 2 granddaughters. Since this is limited, because they live out of state, I fill my time working on class work, keeping up my 15 hours of CEU`s to maintain my license, reading, and going out to dinner with my husband.
