Leslie Buck earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southeast Missouri State University and a Master of Education in Community Counseling from the University of Oklahoma. She is a dissertation away from her Ph. D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oklahoma-Norman.

Ms. Buck has been an instructor at McKendree University in the Masters in Counseling program and at the University of Oklahoma teaching undergraduates about career and life planning. Ms. Buck has worked in a variety of applied psychology settings to include community and hospital-based centers providing psychological treatment to both children and adults. She has also supervised the training of Masters-level counseling students. Her most recent applied position was in the United States Air Force at a military medical treatment facility.

Ms. Buck is very excited to be at Jefferson College and teach about her passion, psychology. She enjoys using new technology to enhance instruction and loves the SmartBoard, STARS, and WebCT applications available here. Ms. Buck recently moved to Jefferson County after first falling in love with the landscape during drives from Cape Girardeau to Saint Louis. Her free time is dominated by finishing her dissertation but she also finds time for outdoor activities with her family and two dogs.

Amy Kausler earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Jefferson College, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Saint Louis University, a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology from University of Missouri - St. Louis, and a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. A graduate of Crystal City High School, Dr. Kausler is a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and enjoys working with students from the community in which she resides. Her interests include reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Melanie Jenkins holds a M.A. in Clinical Adult Psychology from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. She also has a B.A. in psychology from McKendree University. Additionally, Melanie completed a psychology practicum, working as a student therapist, at the St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Clinic. There, she was able to work with many clients who suffered from various mental disorders ranging from OCD to Bipolar disorder. She was also employed as a therapist for a child that had severe autism and is knowledgeable about Applied Behavior Analysis. Her research interests include gender and eating disorders. Melanie currently serves as a adjunct psychology instructor for Jefferson College (2003-present) and McKendree University (2004-present).
