Lisa Martin, M.S., OTR/L is a 2003 graduate of the Washington University School of Medicine Program in Occupational Therapy with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. Lisa has clinical expertise in the areas of return to work, geriatrics, mental health, environmental modifications, and aging in place. She has experience in long term care settings helping older adults maintain their independence and dignity through daily occupations. She previously practiced as an Industrial Rehabilitation Specialist in the areas of ergonomics, job analysis, and return to work, helping adults and veterans become reintegrated to work and the community. Lisa is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the Missouri Occupational Therapy Association and is a registered practitioner by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.

Deborah is a 2008 graduate of the University of Indianapolis, Indianapolis, IN, with a Master of Health Sciences in Occupational Therapy; orthopedic track. She graduated with honors from Maryville University, St. Louis, MO, with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, in 2001. Deborah serves the Jefferson College OTA program as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, Assistant Professor and full-time faculty. She is responsible for development and teaching of: OTA 110, 111, 145, 270, Level I & II fieldwork. Deborah has past experience in management and supervision of OT`s, COTA`s, and Fieldwork Students. She has assisted in the development of a new outpatient hand, pediatric, and skilled nursing therapy programs and has 11 years of experience treating clients in outpatient, acute, hand therapy, and long term care settings. She has served a variety of clients with various diagnoses including: orthopedic, neurological, developmental, and generalized disability. Deborah has expertise and experience with evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and neurological hand therapy clients in the outpatient setting. She has also spent years working with pediatric home health and outpatient clients.

Laurie Delaney MSOT, OTR/L. ATP is a 2003 graduate of the Program in Occupational Therapy at Washington University School of Medicine, with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. She graduated with honors from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2001. She began her career at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD and has worked in skilled nursing and sub-acute rehabilitation facilities since returning to Missouri Laurie has experience in seating and positioning, research, orthopedics, neurorehabilitation, and mental health. She is a certified Assistive Technology Professional and Adjunct Faculty for the OTA Program. She is responsible for development and teaching of OTA225: Assistive Technology and Adaptation.

Associate of Applied Science: STLCC - Meramec

Jeanne has 10 years of experience as a COTA and has extensive background working in the area of mental health. Jeanne currently serves as one of our mental health content experts. While she primarily serves older adults in this area she has had experience working with children and families and has taught teen parenting skills in the past. Jeanne has worked with the Veterans Administration I the areas of Mental Health as well as research for clients with MS. Early in her career she co-developed a collaborative group project that earned community-wide exposure for innovation in mental health services. Jeanne continues to work with veterans in outpatient rehab and is a contract services provider for home health in the community.

Associate of Applied Science: Sanford-Brown

Deanna holds an Associate`s degree from Sanford Brown College, Hazelwood, MO. Deanna teaches OTA140 and OTA220, serves as a PBL tutor, and has been course master for the OTA111 course in the Spring of 2013. She currently teaches OTA160 and assists with fieldwork coordination. Deanna has 13 years of experience in the field of occupational therapy. She has provided OTA services in the skilled nursing setting making her a content expert in the areas of geriatrics, cognition, mental health, and neuro-rehabilitation. She has also had significant experience in wheelchair and seating systems for this population. She has served in the role of Program Manager for 11 years and serves as one of our experts in management issues in occupational therapy. Deanna has also served as primary educator and class instructor for transfer safety and ADL training for nursing home staff. She has maintained compliance standards and educated therapy staff to keep complaint with Medicare changes and documentation within the skilled nursing setting over the course of her career.
